Derrick Dean



Derrick specializes in researching age-qualified communities that are in Ontario, Canada. He collects vast amounts of data for CORE (Collaborative Retirement Econometrics), a database from the Ontario Retirement Communities Association. The data include occupancies, unit counts, market rates, and actual rates. Property owners and developers use CORE to gauge industry standards and to help predict the best place to build.

Derrick started out at ProMatura in 2008 as a caller in the consumer research call center. Within a few years, he was promoted to NIC research associate. In 2015, he was promoted to CORE data specialist.

Derrick has an associate of arts degree from Northwest Community College. He is earning a bachelor of arts in business management from the University of Mississippi. He is also an accomplished musician—a singer and pianist.
