Margaret Wylde - President/CEO - ProMatura Group, LLC

Margaret Wylde founded the ProMatura Group, LLC in 1984. Since its beginning as a division of a private not-for-profit research institute to its present form as a for-profit privately held company, ProMatura has focused on the application of statistically valid research to the solution of everyday decisions for age-qualified and all-age housing managers and developers, builders, consumer product developers and service providers.

ProMatura has had the good fortune to work with some of the largest and best companies in the U.S. including: AARP (more than 12 engagements), Buick, Centex Homes (numerous engagements), the Del Webb Corporation (more than 50 engagements prior to its sale to Pulte Homes), Wal-Mart, Hewlett Packard, Sunrise Senior Living, Inc., Southeast Capital Partners and the American Retirement Corporation.

In addition to scores of strategic planning, marketing audits, feasibility studies and marketing, branding and positioning engagements for age-qualified housing clients, ProMatura has recently completed several major national research projects sponsored by the American Seniors Housing Association, the National Investment Center for the Senior Housing and & Care Industries and the Assisted Living Federation of America Industries and the Seniors Housing Council of NAHB. The most recent of these studies include: The Independent Living Report (Sponsored by ASHA), The Benefits of Independent Living Communities: A Comparative Analysis of Residents and Non-Residents (Sponsored by ASHA), and Understanding Seniors Housing Demand, Choices, and Behavior: Insights from the AHEAD and HRS Studies (Sponsored by NIC). Additionally, ProMatura is responsible for collecting and analyzing the data for the new NIC MAP. Census of age-qualified housing properties in the 30 largest MSAs. This comprehensive database of information, occupancy and revenue data for 7,000 properties is updated quarterly. The most recent research program sponsored by ASHA was a descriptive study of 1,500 residents in 500 randomly selected independently living communities in the United States.

Wylde serves on the Board of Directors of the American Seniors Housing Associations, and has served on the Boards of the American Society on Aging, National Association of Senior Living Industries, and the Seniors Housing Council of the National Association of Home Builders. She is a frequent invited speaker at many conferences and programs throughout the U.S. and Canada and speaks approximately 30 times each year. Wylde is a member of the faculty of the Erickson School at the University of Maryland in the Executive Development program for the age-qualified housing industry. Wylde has been a member of this faculty since the inception of the executive program at Johns Hopkins University.

Wylde has authored five books, dozens of technical papers and articles, and is a prolific contributor to trade and business publications and scholarly journals. Wylde recently authored, Right House, Right Place, Right Time: the Community and Lifestyle Preferences of the 45+ Housing Market that was published by BulderBooks in January 2008.
