Edie Smith is responsible for implementation and management of consumer research projects for ProMatura Group clients.
By blending the results of research from both small- and large-scale studies with demographic and economic data, Smith is able to analyze and estimate the characteristics of market areas that best predict the success of a particular product or service. This method of analysis has proved invaluable in allowing ProMatura to assist its clients in selecting promising market areas for the future.
Since joining ProMatura Group in 1995, Smith has overseen and conducted hundreds of research studies for owners and developers of age-qualified and all-age residential communities, using various methods including the design and implementation of telephone, mail and internet surveys; research seminars; and, focus groups.
Over the years Smith has been integrally involved in several national research studies conducted on behalf of organizations such as the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA), the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) and the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing and Care Industries (NIC).
Ms. Smith earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics, with a minor in Computer Science, at The University of Alabama. She has authored and co-authored numerous technical reports and articles for trade publications.
