During the past few weeks in the national media, age-qualified housing has been talked about a lot. It has been talked around a lot. But residents themselves have not been talked to a lot.
Are their voices not important?
In fact, we think they’re the most important, especially when it comes to learning what residents want. So we want to talk to them!
Is your community making special efforts to promote quality of life during this coronavirus shut-down? For our blog, we would love to interview one of your residents to learn what’s working! If you know someone who would like to share their voice, please email leighann@promatura.com. In a phone interview, we’ll ask the resident questions such as:
- What is a usual day like for you right now?
- How are you feeling about everything that’s going on?
- What is your community doing that is helpful?
- What advice you would give communities moving forward?
We may also ask questions that tap into their wisdom and experiences, such as, “How does this compare to other national crises you’ve lived through?”
This is not for a formal study. Interviews will be published on ProMatura’s blog, to promote conversation. We would love to thank your community in the post, but we can also keep it anonymous if preferred.
By the way, kudos to the American Seniors Housing Association for focusing their new campaign video (below) on assisted living residents’ experiences—and on how hard communities are working to make them great.
